The Infected Blood Scandal
The Infected Blood Scandal saw nearly 30,000 people receive contaminated blood between 1970 and 1990. Many of these people consequently developed conditions like HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis.
The government has delayed the payment of compensation for many people, some of whom have since passed away.
We undertook research on the number of people who have received compensation so far. You can find our results here.
